Brawl has officially been pushed back a week in Japan and a month in North America.
Though several online retailers had updated their release dates suggesting a delay for several weeks, Smash Bros. Dojo has now announced that Super Smash Bros. Brawl has officially been delayed in both Japan and North America. From the American English Dojo:
Due to delays in the completion of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, we've had to change the release date of the game to Sunday, March 9th.The Japanese Dojo confirms that the Japanese release has been pushed back to January 31, one week after the original launch date of January 24.
I deeply apologize to the people who have looked forward to playing the game for so long and ask that you hold on just a little longer. Thank you for your patience.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl was originally slated to launch in North America on December 3, 2007, but it was later delayed to February 10, 2008.
